Engaging in Sustainable Practices
MASTERPAK is increasingly focused on reducing raw material and energy usage and eliminating pollution. Currently, the plant re-uses 100% of its PE waste.
Further, the company implements energy saving initiatives, such as turning off power-consuming appliances in non-occupied offices, saving office paper, sending paper and plastic caps for recycling, and heating water from solar energy.
Imad Njeim, MASTERPAK Plant Manager, explains:
MASTERPAK is a member of INDEVCO Flexible Packaging, a division of the multinational INDEVCO Group."Our processes are energy-efficient and our machines continuously maintained. We are constantly working to minimize the environmental impact of the company's operations, from using battery-operated forklifts, and benefiting from daylight in the plant, to minimizing plastic waste creation, and continuously pursuing opportunities to
recycle and re-use waste materials."
