The re-audit confirms that the paper packaging produced by the Jeddah, Saudi Arabia-based manufacturing plant is food-safe.

Multipak's Hazard Analysis and Critical Point (HACCP) certification is valid for three more years, says certifying body TUV NORD CERT GmbH, as per the Codex Alimentarius Commission.

The flexible packaging manufacturer successfully completed the HACCP certification re-audit on 16-17 May 2010. Multipak first achieved certification in June 2007.
The HACCP's management system requires suppliers, including packaging manufacturers, to analyze and control biological, chemical and physical hazards to ensure food products can be safely consumed.

Multipak produces ice cream packaging, paper bags, paper sheets, paper cups, and paper tubes. Established in 1997, Multipak supplies flexible paper packaging to ice cream producers, fast food franchises, retail, carpet and textile producers in the Arabian Gulf, Middle East and Africa.

Multipak is a Napco company and member of
INDEVCO Flexible Packaging, a division of the 'Local Multinational of the Middle East'.
