In support of innovative companies generating growth in economically distressed regions, the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration has announced Interstate Corrpack LLC (DBA Interstate Container Cambridge) the recipient of a federal grant of over $600,000.

With the U.S. EDA federal grant, worth a total of $607,750, Interstate Container Cambridge will retain 102 existing jobs and create new 20 jobs in its innovative green manufacturing company located in Dorchester County, Maryland. The federal grant was officially awarded to the county from which Interstate Container leased the manufacturing location.

The competitive grant backs Interstate Container Cambridge’s eco-friendly GREENCOAT® wax replacement corrugated packaging for the poultry processing industry, one of the largest industries on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The U.S. EDA leads federal economic development by supporting innovation and job creation to promote growth and success throughout regions across the country.
